AdvanCell Announces the Launch of its Flagship Facility to Support Global Scaled Manufacture of Targeted Alpha Therapies
November 3, 2023 – SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – AdvanCell, a radiopharmaceutical company developing a pipeline of Targeted Alpha Therapies (TATs) for cancer patients, today announced the establishment of its flagship Australian manufacturing facility in Brisbane, Queensland.

AdvanCell’s Flagship Facility in Brisbane, Australia
AdvanCell secured a long-term lease for a purpose-built facility fully equipped with clean rooms and infrastructure for manufacturing radiopharmaceuticals – providing the platform to accelerate the Company’s growth. AdvanCell intends to transform the 3,200 m2 (35,000 square feet) facility into a state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliant facility, enabling AdvanCell to significantly expand the manufacture and scaled production of 212Pb-based therapeutics globally. The facility will manufacture finished drug products for clinical trials across Australia and serve as a process development site for tech transfer globally.
“AdvanCell was founded to realize the potential for targeted alpha therapies to change the course of cancer treatment. From this flagship facility, we will be able to manufacture and distribute the core components of our world-leading technology to ensure scaled production and global access to our 212Pb-based therapies,” said
Andrew Adamovich, CEO of AdvanCell. “The location of the facility, close to our preclinical laboratories at the Translational Research Institute and major hospitals and clinical trial sites, enables us to efficiently advance new TATs and attract top-tier talent to support our leading portfolio of radiopharmaceuticals.
“The state-of-the-art facility will serve as the manufacturing and R&D headquarters for AdvanCell, enabling the mass production of AdvanCell’s proprietary generator, API (212Pb radioisotope or Alpha 212), and a portfolio of 212Pb-based Targeted Alpha Therapies. The site will be fully operational in the second half of 2024 and will support a global radiopharmaceutical manufacturing network capable of producing multiple 212Pb-based targeted alpha therapies on a commercial scale.
The facility is ideally located, approximately a 30-minutes from Brisbane Airport streamlining AdvanCell’s operations and further securing its 212Pb supply chain advantage.
